Caddie
Program
Won't you take one of our caddies, enjoy walking
9-holes and have your Greens Fee taken care of by Shalimar (FREE
Greens Fee if you take a caddie)? All you do is let one of our
caddies spoil you with excellent service, pay the caddie what
you want to, and sit back knowing you are helping some great
youths learn life skills, earn some income, and you are being a
great mentor for them. Please consider giving back to the
community just as Shalimar is doing for these young people. |

Here - FUNdamental Golf
OK - We are ready to go!
Refer to the Shalimar FUNdamental Golf Program link and sign up
your juniors NOW! With the emphasis on behavior of the golfers
versus the swing mechanics, the FUNdamental Golf Program
encourages young people to develop into polite, respectful,
confident, productive and contributing members of our society.
This program will protect the integrity of golf and change the
direction of other youth sports. As negative news surrounds
other sports on a regular basis, golf has separated itself by
holding true to concepts such as honesty, integrity and
sportsmanship. We have an opportunity to instill these traits
into our young golfers and make a great impact on all
others-juniors and adults alike. This program is backed by the
Southwest Section PGA in conjunction with the Arizona Golf
Association, the Arizona Womens Golf Association, the First Tee,
the Junior Golf Association of Arizona, the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf
Association the the Cactus & Pine Superintendents' Association.
Upon completion of this program, the Junior will receive a card
that will entitle him/her to many incentives at golf courses
throughout Arizona and Las Vegas.

participating courses and the incentives that are offered will
be available on the

runs about 2-3 hours)

Next FUNdamental Golf
Program - May 17th - 6:00pm
You MUST sign up and Pay
through the SWSPGA Website to participate. You MUST be able to
make contact with the ball at least every other swing. This
program is recommended for ages 8 & over. DO NOT BE LATE - Late
arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the FUNdamental
Golf Program (No FUNdamental Card) and will not receive a
Refund.

PlayGolfAmerica
Are you (or do you know of
someone) interested in learning how to PLAY golf? We have
the program for you! Our FUNdamental Golf Program for adults
starts on Tuesday, May 27th at 6:00pm and continues for
7 more Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm through July 15th (a total of 8
weeks for 1 session). Join us for a program designed to get you
playing golf because you will learn everything involved in
playing golf - mechanics, rules, etiquette - all of the
necessary FUNdamentals to be able to play golf with others. This
will rid you of all the fears associated with starting to play
golf (or continuing) - which is not knowing what to do on the
course or embarrassment. Plus your golf swing mechanics will

Good-Bye Joe & Mike
We are saying good-bye to
two very special Shalimar Family members, Joe Rojas & Mike
Erickson.
These two individuals have
been instrumental in making Shalimar the most friendly and fun
place to enjoy golf and great food. We will miss them but wish
them the best. Joe is retiring and Mike is going into his line
of work, Finance, in which he earned his degree at ASU.
Thanks guys for caring about
us and Shalimar. Stop by and give these two gentlemen your best
wishes & thanks. |
